Why would the factory attach a green bonding wire from the Exhaust outlet (above the water line) to the rudder post ? Is this just redundant or what. ?????1986 Endeavour 42 ......comments appreciated

| Great question; my theory if an electrical current could run down the wire thread in the hose it would then be routed to rudder post to ground???? I have E38CC 1985 and those ground wires are everywhere and most corroded to fittings. I truley wonder the integrity of the green wires after all these years. |

| Allen, I always thought that was because when Powering, the Exhaust Port can go below the Waterline. I think every Brass fitting that could possibly touch the water is Bonded. |
