There are a lot of owner comments/reviews on our website at: www.endeavourowners.com

If you have specific questions fire away. I owned an E32 for 18 years and sailed it extensively on Lake Michigan.

I sure do have a question or two or... three or...

So tell me about the E-32 sailing style!
It's strengths & drawbacks. Is it tender, slow in light wind, stiff, easy to single-hand, etc.

What is she like to liveaboard?

All comments are much appreciated, Allan

The E32 is a simple and forgiving boat to sail but it is a bit tender as you may gather from the shallow keel. It's a heavy cruising boat primarily designed for the shallow waters of the Keys and Bahamian Islands. It tends to handle the seas relatively well because of it's hull form and displacement. I used to single hand our boat but like any other boat it needs to be set up for that. For instance can you control the boat from the helm or do you have to leave the helm and run around the boat. That's one reason I left the traveler in the companionway---so that I could reach the mainsheet easily. Roller furling, lines led to the cockpit, and an autopilot all make a big difference. Once you learn to trim the sails/boat properly it sails nicely but old sails will hurt performance a lot. The boat does need 10 knots to get going. Anything lighter and I found my self motoring. In Chicago we typically flew a 155%. We also had a 110% that we used earlier and later in the season when the winds picked up. We always tried to keep the boat at 10-15° of heel so that it would sail well. For any boat to point you need two things: 1) keep the boat up so that the keel works, and 2) you need speed so that you have water flowing over the foil so that it provides lift. Reefed main at around 20 knots. A bit small to live aboard---especially two people. But then that's all relative.
