|
|
I have a SL Tigress 555 manual windlass on my E 42. It is mounted on the teak rail.
Looks like trouble trying to size a good power windlass for the same spot.
Any suggestions on something that will fit in the same spot up front? I'm hoping to avoid bigger rigging issues involved with alternative locations.
Thanks |

We have the lofrans tigres 12 volt. Havent used it yet, lol, but seems like a good unit. it is mounted on deck with a agm 12 volt battery under the vberth.
had a manual windless on our last boat, wouldn't go back to that. |

Bob
What boat do you have and where did you mount the tigress?
My 555 is up front near the bow on my E-42. I have the optional extended bow platform. The difficulty is in the width of powered windlasses. They are so wide they will force the gypsy to be out of alignment with the feed of the chain.
