We need to redo the gelcoat and nonskid on our deck. Has anyone used either of the following products? Seacork which is used for nonskid or Durabak which has a product for nonskid and gelcoat and is a rubberized paint Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Jan

West Marine carries a product for non-skid called Skid-No-More. It's by Evercoat and available elsewhere for considerably less. I spoke to Evercoat about coloring the product, which is a light grey, and they said it can be tinted with their tint kit. There is no color chart showing which tints to mix to get a final desired color, however. The Evercoat response was to apply their coating to the non-skid areas, then paint over it with a latex floor paint in the desired color.

Seems this is an extra step. Why not use only a latex (i.e., "rubberized) floor paint and skip the costly Evercoat? This is the course I plan to follow on my other boat, a Columbia 30, when it's hauled this fall.
