Packing Gland for Rudder on E42I recently bought a 1987 E42 and it appears that I need to replace the stuffing on the rudder. The question is do you have to remove the steering quadrant or can you just loosen the packing gland and replace the stuffing, also what size packing, can you use the teflon dripless type?,
Anything else one needs to know to complete this project?
