I just discovered a hidden compartment on my E-42.
In the forward part of the forward cabin, under the berth I have an A/C unit. that unit is mounted on a platform that forms this hidden compartment. There was a small crack in the caulk at the seam of the bulkhead and A/C condensate got down there. I drilled a small weep hole at the base of the bulkhead and drained out at least 6 gallons! |

Yeah, I had a similar problem on a previous Catalina 30 I owned. The best solution is to install a mermaid condensator. the little valve takes all the condensation with the OUT water. eliminates having all that condensation in the bilge.
