I have a 87' E42 that needs the packing replaced on the rudder.
1. Do you have to remove the steering quadrant first?
2. What size packing?
3. Can you use the teflon dripless type?
4. Anything else one needs to know to do the job

If you tackle this please take pictures. I'd love to get some info on doing this as I'm sure I'll eventually need to do it myself.
