|
|
After posting a message about having a fuel leak at one of the injector pipes on my Yanmar 4 JH-HTE engine, I discovered that the leak was really coming from the return pipe on one of the injectors. It seems that a small pinhole had corroded and a stream of diesel fuel was coming out right under one of the injector pipes.
I put some J-B Weld epoxy on it, cleaned it first, then Rustoleum primer then 2 coats of Yanmar Grey paint I got from Mack Boring Co. I've run it in the slip for 30 minutes twice and there is no signs of a leak. I'll try to run it out in Charleston harbor soon, if the weather cooperates, and see how she does.
