Found out that our cockpit locker on the E40 is foamed on the inside making it a cooler...
Anyone else have that feature?
You would have to take the overhead off to find out.
It just needs some spray foam around the drain, seems endeavour did that with the fridge box as well.. a hugh gaping hole around the drain with no insulation....
Still though a nice feature.. ours is loaded with stuff... but now I will use it as a cooler for drinks.

The original intent of Endeavour was that it be used as a cooler for drinks. I'd be surprised if any were built without the foam insulation. We left the drain hose in place, but it now runs to the shower drain tank rather than directly to the bilge. We now use the cockpit locker for pyrotechnics and other safety equipment, e.g horn, whistle, tether, harness, etc. (nice to have them handy in an emergency).
A small 12v DC/110v AC camp cooler stowed behind the companionway ladder, serves as our beverage repository. It's nice not to have to go 'diving' in the main fridge to find a cold one.

I am going to replumb the hose to the new grey water tank as well.
Not sure if we are going to use it as a cooler or keep is as it is now.. for "STUFF". But the idea that cold drinks are handy in the cockpit is a nice one.
