| Does anyone know what the approximate plate temperature should be on an ABCM installed on a E42. My fridge lost some of its charge over the years . I had to put in some freon and don't want to over charge it . I know the system calls for about 6-8 oz but with the existing freon it is impossible to weigh witout removing all the freon and reclaiming it.I also know it depends on outside temperature which is around 80 degrees.I would prefer to be slightly under charged than over to prevent damage to the system. Also has anyone re insulated the box to gain more efficiency? If so with what? If you email me your phone # I would call you back to discuss. My email address is Rlightb240@aol.com. Thanks Bob |

a good refer tech should be able to check the pressures on the system with gauges, high side and low side, to be able to tell how much is there.
if you want to do it yourself, take a look at richard kollmans site for diy help. kollmann-marine.com
